France legend Bixente Lizarazu has confirmed he will run through the streets of Evian naked following the local club's recent promotion to Ligue 1.
The former Bayern Munich left-back told reporters last July that if Evian TG, the club where he is a shareholder win promotion to the summit of French football, he would go through with the striptease.
Evian won promotion last week with a 2-1 victory over Stade de Reims confirming the club as champions of Ligue 2, only a year after coming up from France's third tier.
When French TV channel TF1 quizzed the former French international whether he would keep his promise, Lizarazu said: "I'll do it, I'll do it. I'll keep my word, I'll do it, but I'm not going to call the national press!"
Lizarazu announced his retirement from football in 2006 after a successful career which saw the left-back pick up numerous Bundesliga titles with Bayern and a Champions League winners medal in 2001.
The former player, who made 97 appearances for France also won the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000 with the national side.
