Lille's Gervinho to make decision on his future next month

The Ivory Coast international is widely expected to move to a bigger club this summer and will announce his decision shortly

Lille attacker Gervinho has stated that he has already made a decision on his future and will make an announcement in the coming weeks.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina in the past couple of weeks, and his current contract with the Ligue 1 champions runs until the summer of 2012.

"After the last match with Lille and a game with Ivory Coast, I will go on holiday. I have already made my choice. Either I will leave or not, everyone will know it later. It is a personal choice," Gervinho was quoted as saying by L'Equipe.

"The coach wants me to stay. The club will play in the Champions League and he wants to play it with me. I want to play it too, if I have such an opportunity."

The Ivorian hastened to add that although he wants to play Champions League football, it does not necessarily mean that he will do so with his current club, as there are more options available to him.

"I can play it [the Champions League] at Lille or somewhere else, that is no problem. We have had several talks and we know what we told ourselves. There are still a few days to talk before holidays."

Gervinho has climbed to 25th spot in the Castrol EDGE Rankings following his excellent performances for Lille.
