The Stade de France could play host to PSG's matches during 2012-13, if details of the lease can be finalised.
The capital side’s Parc des Princes stadium, which is in the heart of the city, is due to be upgraded over three years for Euro 2016, which will take place in l’Hexagone, and as a result will not be fit for use for approximately one full season.
PSG are set to move to the outskirts and the far larger stadium in St Denis, where Lille have previously hosted Ligue 1 matches against Olympique Lyonnais.
It is reported that negotiations over the lease are well underway, though nothing has been finalised with the privately-owned stadium, whose 80,000 capacity PSG will find impossible to fill on a regular basis.
Fans have long lobbied les Parisiens to remain at their historic home, and some sections may take offence at having to move away from the city centre for one season.
Clubs such as Olympique de Marseille and Racing Club de Lens are also set to have their stadiums renovated, though they are likely to take less radical solutions.
