The quest of Olympique Lyonnais to lift themselves back into the Ligue 1 title race has taken another turn for the worse ahead of Sunday’s encounter against Nice as Lisandro Lopez and Aly Cissokho will both be missing from the fixture, according to a report from France Football.
Argentine striker Lisandro (calf) and French left-back Cissokho (thigh) have both been absent for the last few games but they were back in training earlier this week and it had seemed possible that both would feature at the Stade Gerland on Sunday night. The suggestion is that the encounter against les Aiglons will come too soon for both.
Jimmy Briand, Pape Diakhate and Michel Bastos have all managed to shake off minor knocks to allow themselves to feature on Sunday.
OL will certainly be without long-term issues Cesar Delgado and Ederson, while youngster Clement Grenier is missing too.
Lyon lie 11th in the congested Ligue 1 standings, only five points shy of leaders Stade Brestois.
