thumbnail Hello,

After starting to earn some game-time, Lyon teenager Clement Grenier could be absent for around two months.

Clement Grenier has enjoyed a positive run in Olympique Lyonnais’ first team squad in recent weeks, but the young midfielder faces a significant spell on the sidelines, according to L’Equipe.

The young midfielder may have won the acclaim of general manager Claude Puel for his recent performances, yet it is suggested that he could be absent until after the winter break because of a thigh tear sustained at the weekend.

Although the 19-year-old has only featured in two Ligue 1 encounters, he is becoming an increasingly important player to Puel, who is increasingly laying more confidence in the offensive midfielder’s boots. With the OL boss grumbling that his star players are tired, Grenier, who played in France’s successful European Under-19 Championship winning side of the summer, has stepped to the fore impressively.

There is some good news for les Gones as it has been revealed that Cesar Delgado has not suffered a relapse of the injury that has kept him out for the vast majority of this campaign to date. However, the Argentine does have a contraction in his right thigh that will prolong his spell on the sidelines.
