The 24-year-old joined OL for €22 million during the final days of the transfer window.
"When I arrived here at Lyon, I saw there was a large structure and a large organisation," Gourcuff told football.fr. "It's different compared to Bordeaux.
"OL is a much bigger club.
Gourcuff says he joined the side to win and enjoy his football, and not to be in front of the media.
"I play football for fun and to win trophies," he said. "I try to put up a barrier between me and the media.
"It is not the reason I play football. It makes me rather uncomfortable."
