Girondins de Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud has told Olympique de Marseille via La Provence that he is positive that midfielder Alou Diarra will not cross the divide between the two clubs over the coming weeks.

The holding midfield player has long been associated with a move to Stade Velodrome, and although OM are still credited with a dormant interest, Triaud believes that no move will take place as the rumours are starting to die away and Diarra is not attempting to force anything through.

“It has been a fortnight now since Alou clearly said he wants stay with us,” Triad explained. “Enough to put a stop to all speculation. There is nothing new.”

Diarra reportedly has a get out clause in his contract worth in the region of €8 million but it seems unlikely that OM will activate it as they are presently focusing on snatching Luis Fabiano from Sevilla.

With Mamadou Niang and Hatem Ben Arfa reportedly ready to leave les Phoceens over the course of the next three weeks, it could be a busy period for coach Didier Deschamps.
