‘Zizou’ believes that Hazard will be a star of the future after watching the youth deliver exciting performances on a frequent basis this season...
The performances of Lille youngster Eden Hazard have captured the attentions of many this season, but the Belgian winger, who only tuned 19 at the beginning of this year, has now been singled out by French legend Zinedine Zidane as a possible star of the future.
Hazard already has plenty of experience of the top level, having turned out for les Dogues since 2007. Over the last 18 months he has slowly established himself as a regular member of their first team squad, with several dazzling performances having grabbed the attentions of many of Europe’s biggest clubs this term.
Having destroyed Ligue 1 dauphins Montpellier on Sunday, Hazard has attracted comment from Real Madrid presidential advisor Zidane, who admitted the Belgian is one to watch for the future.
“Eden Hazard is a future expert,” ‘Zizou’ told Marca. “He is very good and will become even better.”
Should los Blancos wish to swoop for the Belgian in the summer they will have to pay through the nose, as Lille have placed a massive €22 million price-tag on his head. Additionally, Hazard has indicated his desire to stay with the French outfit for at least one more season in order to develop himself further as a player.
