The 30-year-old has already admitted he will quit the Stade Gerland and several clubs in Europe have been alerted to the availability of the French international.
Serie A side Roma are allegedly one of the interested parties, but the player’s agent, Frederic Guerra, says it’s too early to speculate about his client’s future when asked if he would welcome a switch to the Stadio Olimpico.
“If I said so, then you could read that he wants to join Roma,” the representative told romanews.eu.
“The only thing I can say is that we do not close the door on anyone before assessing all our options.
“Govou and I have talked about his future, but I can’t tell you anything about what was said…”
