Abdeslam Ouaddou Faces Three More Weeks On the Sidelines - Report
The Moroccan defender is suffering from a nagging knee injury.
Moroccan international defender Abdeslam Ouaddou has told L’Equipe that he will be unable to represent his side, AS Nancy Lorraine, in French Ligue 1 for at least three weeks, as he is still experiencing pain in his knee.
“I have a problem with the ligaments in my left knee. I have to be absent once more and pursue my treatment,” he explained.
Ouaddou sustained the injury during the second week of play when his side defeated AS Monaco by the score of 4-0. The North African center back had to be substituted in the 82nd minute of the encounter. In the ensuing match against Le Mans, his side was beaten without him.
The injury has not only hurt him at club level, but has also forced him to miss a crucial World Cup qualifier against Togo, where his countrymen managed to pull out a 1-1 draw in Lome in the dying second of the match.
