PSG Livewire Stephane Sessegnon Would Be Marseille’s Ideal Signing – Jose Anigo
PSG will be on alert in the future after Jose Anigo declared the Beninese star to be a player well worth having.
A box full of tricks and energy, Sessegnon was at his destructive best on Sunday afternoon as PSG dismantled Lille 3-0 at the Parc des Princes. The diminutive Benin international performed seemingly countless step-overs before delivering the cross for Christophe Jallet to volley home les Parisiens’ third goal of the day via some questionable goalkeeping.
Performances such as this from the versatile offensive midfielder, who is largely being deployed on the left of PSG’s midfield this season after spending most of last season on the right, have caught the attention of English Premier League side Chelsea, who have been heavily linked with the player in the past, but Anigo admits Marseille would love the player.
“Today, if I had to sign anyone to this club, it would be Stephane Sessegnon,” he declared to RMC with an increasingly mischievous smile. “Anyway, we’ll have to push Paris into selling a little later.”
PSG are actually ahead of Marseille in the league after four rounds of Ligue 1 action, the capital club having dropped just two points to date, while OM have lost four after drawing two of their opening fixtures.
