Jean-Michel Aulas, the president of Olympique Lyonnais, admitted today that the Rhone Valley club are willing to negotiate on offers for star player Karim Benzema.
The French international looks as though he will be leaving the club this summer and many of the top clubs in Europe are chasing his signature.
Aulas confirmed that there are three main clubs really interested in signing the striker though.
"Real Madrid are interested him. So are Barcelona and Manchester United," he told Le 10 Sport.
"We also received a very interesting offer from an English club in January, however, we did not want that and he is still a Lyon player."
Aulas did not divulge any more on the offer but, considering the price tag that has been set on the player, it would not be surprise if the mystery bid came from Manchester City.
Nevertheless, it looks as though it could come down to a bidding war for Benzema in the next few months and the president confirmed Lyon will negotiate with other clubs.
"There are opportunities that only come around once and we must negotiate,” he explained. “If there are potential buyers, we must look at them and always bear in mind the potential financial gain.”
