The Belgian defender, who was back in first-team action for the first time since December in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Hull City, is determined to bounce back from that result
The Belgian returned to the side for the first time in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Hull City since he picked up the problem in a 2-1 win at Fulham in early December.
Spurs sit sixth in the Premier League table, three points adrift of Liverpool in fourth place, and are set to welcome Everton - one point ahead of them in the race for the Champions League - on Sunday, with Vertonghen keen to return to winning ways.
"We have to bounce back in an important game against Everton," the 26-year-old told the club's official website. "We have to be ready for that.
"I want to finish the season strongly now. Hull was my first game in two months.
"I don't suppose you can expect to win everything and play every ball to the right player in the first game but I'm back and getting stronger."
