Meanwhile, Chelsea on Friday confirmed the signing of St Etienne centre-half Kurt Zouma from St Etienne for €15 million.
The 19-year-old has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Mourinho's side but will remain with the French club until the end of the season.
Zouma represents Chelsea’s third major purchase of the transfer window having already re-signed Nemanja Matic from Benfica for a fee of €26 million and the Basel winger Mohamad Salah for €15 million.
