Luis Suarez starts for Liverpool in the Capital One Cup clash against rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Uruguayan makes his return from a 10-game suspension in Wednesday's Capital One Cup encounter, his first outing since biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season.

Daniel Sturridge joins the 26-year-old in attack with support from Victor Moses, while talismanic captain Steven Gerrard is named in midfield alongside Lucas Leiva and Jordan Henderson.

Kolo Toure is likely to continue at right-back in the absence of Glen Johnson, with new signing Mamadou Sakho partnering Martin Skrtel in the centre of defence.

Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, leads out United as captain in the centre of an attacking midfield trident flanked by Shinji Kagawa and Nani, with Chicharito leading the line.

Phil Jones and Ryan Giggs anchor the midfield for David Moyes' side, whilst Rafael returns from injury to slot into the defence with Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, and Alex Buttner.
