And the 39-year-old trainer is adamant Leverkusen are huge underdogs against the Premier League giants and stressed that all the expectancy will lie on the shoulders of opposite number David Moyes.
"Actually, we can approach this match in a very relaxed manner," the former Liverpool star told a press conference.
"The pressure certainly is on Manchester United.
However, Hyypia is keen on causing an upset at Old Trafford and simply wants to see his side play to the best of their ability.
"I hope we can reach our potential on the pitch and take away something countable," he added.
