thumbnail Hello,

The 29-year-old striker says that the return of former manager Jose Mourinho is "good news" for the Blues and insists he wants to remain at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has reiterated his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The Spain international scored 22 goals in all competitions last season but he could face further competition for a place in Mourinho's side after Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk hinted that Chelsea's interest in him is genuine.

Torres described the return of Mourinho at Chelsea as "good news" but the 29-year-old insists that his plans to remain at the club will not change.

"I have three more years on my contract so I am not worried. I know my future is [at Chelsea]," the forward told reporters.

"To be honest, it is like this every summer. There is talk and speculation but, as I said when I signed my contract, I will be there for five-and-a-half seasons.

"My future is there and my present is with the national team."
