The 27-year-old midfielder expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside his Spain international team-mate after the former Sevilla winger completed his Etihad move
The Liga outfit, who finished ninth in the Spanish top division last season, confirmed the transfer of the 27-year-old to City on Monday, before the player himself revealed that talks had been ongoing for months.
Speaking at Spain's pre-Confederations Cup camp in Miami, Silva believes the winger is ready to adapt to life in the Premier League after sealing a transfer estimated to be worth around €24 million.
"Navas is at a mature age now and I am very happy to have him as a team-mate," the midfielder told reporters.
The former Valencia man also says he is sure that his international colleague will be a hit at the Etihad and is excited by the possibility of playing alongside him next season.
"He [Navas] is a great player and he will be very good for us," Silva continued.
