LA Galaxy attacker and two-time Everton loan signing Landon Donovan has backed new Manchester United manager David Moyes to be a success at Old Trafford.
The American attacker had two seperate loan spells under the 50-year-old at Goodison Park during the MLS off-season, and knows Moyes' characteristics and ability first hand.

"He'll be fine," Donovan told Goal.com. "I have no doubt that he'll do well there.
"It was, in my opinion, a pretty obvious choice.
"He is – across the board, by players, fans, staff, referees – very respected. I think he'll do a fantastic job. I'm very happy for him."
Moyes has a history of trusting American players, dating back to Brian McBride at Preston in 2000, while U.S.A. international Tim Howard has been Moyes' No.1 goalkeeper at Everton since 2006. However, Donovan does not see Moyes going out of his way to cater to Americans.
"He's got a job to do," Donovan said. "Whether someone's American or Argentinian or Bosnian or Albanian or English, he's going to pick the best players he can."
