The Belgian attacking midfielder wants to erase the ignominious memories of Chelsea's cup exit with a Premier League win as he looks toward the Champions League

Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard has admitted that he wants "revenge" against Swansea City on Sunday after they knocked the Blues out of the Capital One Cup earlier in the season.

The 22-year-old was infamously sent off for kicking a ball-boy in the goalless second leg of the two teams' semi-final after Michu and Danny Graham put the Swans two goals to the good in the first.

The Belgian also emphasised the importance of continuing the drive for a Champions League place as Chelsea currently sit fourth by virtue of goal difference.

"We were really hoping to win the Capital One Cup and I hope we can get some revenge for that defeat," Hazard told reporters, "and a win will mean we can continue to push for a Champions League place."

The former Lille star has adapted well since arriving in England last summer and spoke of the different demands that the Premier League brings, while also revealing the advice he received from a former team-mate.

"I spoke with Joe Cole," Hazard revealed. "He spoke very well of Chelsea and he said it would be a great club for me. He did well winning trophies here and he told me what to expect.

"The biggest difference I have found is the intensity of the game in England compared to France. There, you can have quiet periods in a match, maybe five or 10 minutes, but not in England. It is intense for the whole 90 minutes – or even longer as we found out at Liverpool last Sunday."
