Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has fielded an attacking squad to face Reading as he seeks to extend his club's lead at the top of the Premier League table to 15 points.

Wayne Rooney starts for United and will be seeking to continue his scoring after his strike against Chelsea in the FA Cup last weekend.

Robin van Persie joins the striker at the top of the formation who will be looking to extend his impressive goal tally after a brief dry run.

Danny Welbeck, Anderson, Ryan Giggs and Ashley Young start in midfield to display a very offensive mentality from the United coach.

Reading, who are without a permanent manager after Brian McDermott's departure go with a 4-5-1 with Noel Hunt at the top for the clash at Old Trafford.
