Kolo Toure: Manchester City must win a trophy to help save Mancini's job
The Cote d'Ivoire defender believes they must salvage their season and win some silverware, most likely the FA Cup, or they could risk losing their manager
Manchester City players feel that they must claim some form of silverware this season to prevent Roberto Mancini from losing his job, according to Kolo Toure. The Italian manager is under pressure at City after a disastrous Champions League campaign was followed by a poor run of form in the Premier League which now sees his side 12 points adrift of leaders Manchester United.
An FA Cup win, starting with their quarter-final against Barnsley, remains City's best chance of glory this season and Toure says that picking up a trophy is now a must.

"But even for us, we don't want to go a season without winning something. That would be hard for City now. We've delivered and we need to maintain that by winning trophies.
"Always, always, for a team like City, it's difficult to go for a season without winning one trophy. For us, the FA Cup is really important, and the league as well, because we want to maintain this trophy."
Bar a miraculous turnaround, the Premier League title will be heading to Old Trafford at the end of the season. Without giving up hope, Toure admitted how disappointed City are with their performance so far.
"For us it's very important because, when you win the Premier League for the first time, you want to get it to keep it," he added.
"It's very difficult at the moment but the season isn't finished and for us we're looking to the next game and to try to win it."
