Bale is unplayable, says Ramsey
The Gunners midfielder says his Spurs counterpart has become unstoppable since being moved into a more advanced role by manager Andre Villas-Boas
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes Wales team-mate Gareth Bale is currently "unplayable" after being deployed in a more advanced position by Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas.The Spurs winger has been in sensational form of late, netting two outstanding free kicks in his side's 2-1 Europa League victory over Lyon on Thursday to make it 17 goals in 30 appearances for the club this season.
Young Gunner Ramsey says it is all the more surprising given how Bale struggled at left-back for the club for so long - but suggests the winger's recent success is down to his hard work on the training ground.
"As soon as they moved Bale up the pitch, he has been unplayable," he told The Mirror.
"When Bale first started at Tottenham they were struggling to win whenever he played at left-back, but it is unbelievable how quickly things can change in football.
"Those free kicks he produced against Lyon on Thursday - I've seen how he does it when we stay behind after training with Wales," he added. "He stays behind and practises them and it has paid off for him."
The 23-year-old has been the subject of increased transfer speculation given his form this term, with the PFA Players' Player of the Season in 2010-11 being linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG.
