Ramsey looks to long-term future with British contingent at Arsenal
The 22-year-old joined Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in committing his future to the club and is hoping that they can win some silverware
Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey says that committing his long-term future to the club was an easy decision and is hoping to be part of a core of successful British players at the Emirates Stadium. The midfielder was joining in penning a new deal by defenders Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson and fellow midfielders Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. With their futures now sorted, the Wales international hopes that the five of them can contribute to a successful spell in the club's history.
"I'm really pleased to get my contract sorted out," he told the team's official website. "It was an easy decision. I had a few years left on my contract but extended it again, which is pleasing.

"Jack always competes, always wants the ball and his determination is second to none. Gibbo is always up and down the flank and gets into some great positions. He scored against Swansea and also has a couple of assists this season, so that's been good for him.
"Carl is a solid right-back with a great engine who can get up and down his flank as well to support his winger and get crosses in. Chambo is exciting, he can beat a player and can also finish as well.
"Obviously we are going to get better and more experienced, so hopefully we can achieve something with this group of players."
The Gunners will be looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss at home to Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend when they host Swansea City in an FA Cup third-round replay on Wednesday.
