Wilshere needs time to get back to his best for Arsenal, warns Ramsey
The Wales international says his Gunners team-mate is still some way short of full match fitness but is confident the midfielder can recapture his best form soon
Aaron Ramsey has called for Arsenal fans to be patient with Jack Wilshere as the England international continues his comeback after spending over a year out of the game through injury.
The 20-year-old scored his first goal since returning to action in midweek, in Arsenal's 2-0 Champions League win over Montpellier, but Ramsey believes he still has some way to go to recapture his very best form."Jack scored a great goal against Montpellier but he still needs time," Ramsey told The Sun.
"It will take him a while to get his match fitness back along with his full sharpness. People have to be patient with him. Of course, he's shown already what he is capable of and I am sure he will be back to his very best soon.
"He puts in a lot of hours trying to get in the best shape and hopefully he can get the rewards for his hard work. I thought he came through everything well and hopefully he can now stay injury free."

Ramsey also spoke about his recent experiences of playing in a wide position, saying he feels the new role will help him become a better player.
"I have played wide a few times. It is not my position but I was asked to do a job there," he added.
"The fans let you know when someone is not doing the right thing but they have to be patient and get behind the team and individuals.
"I have got my confidence back and I feel sharper. If I carry on improving, I will become a better player."

"It just seems like Arjen Robben can't score in decicive matches," the legendary libero told Sky Germany during the break.
"Ribery was very lucky," he argued. "If the referee judges this as an intentional act, he can easily give a red card. I cannot understand why a player like Franck Ribery behaves like this in a Champions League final."
"We've had boos, moans and groans throughout the half from fans unhappy with Bayern's resurgence. The loudest cheers of all have been saved for Roman Weidenfeller though, after two exceptional saves from Arjen Robben. There's no doubt, in this pub at least, that the support lies with Dortmund and a friendly chap named Andreas believes BVB will come out on top, insisting: 'We will get stronger as the game goes on and Lewandowski will score in the final 10 minutes.' About as precise a prediction as you can get!"
