TEAM NEWS: Tevez & Aguero start in attack for Manchester City's clash against Aston Villa
The Argentine pair feature for the Premier League champions who also include David Silva as they welcome Paul Lambert's men to the Etihad Stadium
Manchester City take on Aston Villa with Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero leading the attack for the champions as they seek to maintain their unbeaten run in the Premier League.Manager Roberto Mancini's decision to start with the Argentina duo means Edin Dzeko is on the bench yet again, despite his match-winning strike against Tottenham last time out. Mario Balotelli, meanwhile, misses out altogether.
Elsewhere, Maicon returns in place of Pablo Zabaleta whilst Joleon Lescott is fit only for the bench and Samir Nasri comes in with Aleksandar Kolarov dropping out.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, keep faith with the same team that lost 3-2 to Manchester United at Villa Park last time out despite taking a 2-0 lead.
Andreas Weimann, who scored two against the Red Devils starts, as does Christian Benteke while Stephen Ireland faces his former team.
Manchester City: Hart; Maicon, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy; Yaya Toure, Barry; Silva, Nasri, Tevez; Aguero.
Subs: Zabaleta, Dzeko, Lescott, Sinclair, Kolarov, Garcia, Pantilimon.
Aston Villa: Guzan; Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Stevens; Westwood, Bannan, Ireland; Agbonlahor, Weimann; Benteke.
Subs: Given, El Ahmadi, Albrighton, Holman, Bowery, Baker.
