The Manchester United legend claims that the Liverpool striker's incredible goal against Newcastle on Sunday shows that he is currently one of the world’s best players
Former Manchester United winger David Beckham has hailed Luis Suarez's “exceptional goal” against Newcastle, claiming that the Uruguay international is capable of providing world-class performances in every match.Suarez neatly controlled a 50-yard pass on his shoulder before rounding the Magpies’ keeper Tim Krul and slotting the ball into an open net.
And the LA Galaxy midfielder expressed his delight at the level of skill on display from the Uruguayan.
"It was exceptional, to score a goal like that. The way he brought the ball down, everything about it was amazing. It was amazing to watch it," he told reporters.
Beckham went on the admit that, while the goal was a stroke of genius, he was not surprised by it due to the quality that Suarez possesses.
"I'm a Manchester United fan, and I don't like to say that about Liverpool players, but all jokes aside his first touch was incredible, his second touch was even better and it was an amazing finish," he continued.
"He's a great player, he's capable of doing those things week in and week out."
