The former Tottenham boss has claimed to have received a number of job offers from England and abroad, but has denied that he will be the man to replace Steve Kean

Harry Redknapp has distanced himself from the vacant manager's post at Blackburn Rovers.

Reports were circulating that the former Tottenham boss, sacked at the end of last season, had been in talks with Rovers' owners Venky's about replacing Steve Kean at Ewood Park.

But he told Sky Sports News: "It's not something I would look to do or look to do in the future. It's not for me."

The Blackburn owners this week revealed they are looking to employ a new manager before the end of the week, and Argentina legend Diego Maradona has emerged as a shock candidate for the post.

When asked if he would rule out managing in the Championship, Redknapp said: "No not necessarily, if I thought it was something I was interested in.

"I'm starting to get bored," he added. "You can only play golf so often. I'm losing too many golf balls at the moment."

Redknapp was sacked at the end of last season after a reported falling out with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, despite leading Spurs to fourth place in the Premier League.
