"Hopefully I'm going to work really hard this week to be with the team for the next game."
The game also provided an opportunity for the Fulham faithful to see both Ruiz and summer signing Dimitar Berbatov in action together and the Costa Rican stressed that, although he enjoyed playing with the Bulgaria international, there is plenty of depth to Martin Jol's side.
"Yes, I did enjoy it," the Fulham star stated when asked about playing with Berbatov. "He's a very clinical player.
"We did good together but it doesn't matter if it's Berba or another player because I think we all are good players."
