Wenger looking for Arsenal response against Schalke
The Gunners boss was unhappy with his side’s performance in their 1-0 defeat at Norwich City and is hoping for an immediate improvement in Wednesday night's Champions League clash
Arsene Wenger hopes that Arsenal can respond to their surprise 1-0 defeat at Norwich City on Saturday when they host Schalke in the Champions League on Wednesday night.A first-half Grant Holt strike was enough for the Canaries to register their first win of the season and they were rarely troubled by a strangely subdued Arsenal display.
Wenger admits that his side may have underestimated Norwich and is looking for them to bounce back by putting themselves in a commanding position in their Champions League group.
"I hope it will have a positive impact," the Gunners manager told reporters after the defeat at Carrow Road.

"Maybe we underrated the difficulty we would face but the Premier League is the Premier League – if you are not ready for the fight then you will always have bad surprises.
"There is a big difference between the amount of possession we had and the amount of chances we created. That is down to the fact that Norwich defended well and we did not create a lot."
The 62-year-old also refused to blame the recent international break for his side's poor performance.
"We have to deal with that," Wenger continued. "You could say we have better players [than Norwich] but there is only one way to show that, on the football pitch."
Arsenal will go into the clash with Schalke without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after the England international limped off just 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute at Carrow Road.
