TEAM NEWS: Valencia & Scholes handed starts for Manchester United v Stoke
The hosts are without Tom Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa against the Potters but name an attacking line-up with Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Robin van Persie all included
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has handed starts to Paul Scholes and Antonio Valencia as the Red Devils take on Stoke City at Old Trafford.David De Gea continues in goal as Sir Alex names the same defence that featured in the win at Newcastle last time out.
England trio Michael Carrick, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck all feature, as does Robin van Persie, but there is no room in the squad for Tom Cleverley or Shinji Kagawa.
Stoke, meanwhile, make just one change from the side that drew 0-0 with Liverpool at Anfield with Dean Whitehead coming in from Glenn Whelan. Former United striker Michael Owen, starts on the bench.
