Tottenham midfielder Jenas set for one-month loan return to Nottingham Forest
The Championship club have agreed a deal with Spurs to sign the former England international for a 30-day spell this week, with an option to extend his stay at the City Ground
By Wayne VeyseyJermaine Jenas is on the brink of sealing a loan move from Tottenham to his former club Nottingham Forest.
The Championship club have agreed an initial 30-day deal with Spurs, with the option of extending it to three months subject to Jenas' fitness.
Sources have told Goal.com that the former England midfielder should re-sign for Forest this week, in time to be involved against Derby County on Sunday.
Jenas, who Forest sold for £5 million to Newcastle United in 2002 as a teenager, has been looking for a new club after being told in the summer he did not feature in the plans of new Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas.
The 29-year-old was on the verge of a loan move to Sunderland on the final day of the August transfer window, but it dramatically collapsed at the last minute just as he was about to board a plane to Wearside, following an administrative error.
Jenas spent last season on loan at Aston Villa but suffered a series of injury problems and returned to London after rupturing his Achilles last December.
He still has two years to run on his Spurs contract after the club exercised their option to extend it by another 12 months in March.
