Premier League Team of the Week: Cazorla & Mata star as three Southampton players make the cut after first win
Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Maya Yoshida all feature from the Saints, while Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini makes his third appearance of the campaign
Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Maya Yoshida all feature in our Team of the Week after Southampton sealed their first points since returning to the Premier League with a 4-1 victory over Aston Villa.
After tasting defeat in each of their four opening games of the season, a Lambert double helped the Saints to an emphatic win on Saturday, with Lallana and Yoshida also impressing.
Santi Cazorla was again influential as Arsenal earned a 1-1 draw away to Manchester City at the weekend, while Juan Mata starred for Chelsea as they maintained their strong start to the season with a 1-0 victory at home to Stoke City.
Potters duo Ryan Shawcross and Asmir Begovic are also included despite Stoke's defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United full-back Rafael features in our XI following his equaliser against Liverpool, which ultimately set the Red Devils on to a 2-1 victory at Anfield, with Steven Gerrard just missing out for Brendan Rodgers' side despite capping his return to form with a goal.
Everton pair Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines both make the cut – the Belgian midfielder for the third time this season – after David Moyes’ men secured an excellent 3-0 win against Swansea, with Newcastle’s Hatem Ben Arfa making his TOTW bow after the Magpies took all three points at home to Norwich.
Honourable mentions must go to goalscorers Kevin Nolan, Romelu Lukaku and Laurent Koscielny, who are all unfortunate to miss out, while Jan Vertonghen also impressed for Tottenham.
