Roberto Mancini hands out three debuts at the Britannia Stadium, whilst the hosts name the former Manchester United striker amongst the substitutes

Roberto Mancini has handed Manchester City debuts to Maicon, Scott Sinclair and Javi Garcia for Saturday's clash at the Britannia Stadium.

Brazilian international Maicon will play in the absence of Pablo Zabaleta and Micah Richards whilst Sinclair makes a surprise start, keeping David Silva out of the starting XI.

Former Benfica man Garcia, who City signed for more than £15million on transfer deadline day, replaces ex-Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell in the side.

Sergio Aguero is not in the squad, despite rumours that he was set to be included in Mancini's line-up.

Charlie Adam and Steven N'Zonzi make full debut's for the Potters.
