Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham finally got his hands on gold this week when he met mixed martial artist and UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos from Brazil.
Beckham has been relentlessly flying back and forth across the Atlantic from his native London to L.A. as he attempts to watch as much of the Olympic Games as possible, whilst also playing for Bruce Arena's MLS side.
The Galaxy recently drew 1-1 with Premier League side Spurs, but suffered a 5-1 defeat against Beckham's former club Real Madrid in a friendly at the Home Depot Center.
Recently, Becks, who was not included in Stuart Pearce's Team GB squad despite helping London to land the games back in 2005, met title holder Dos Santos after Galaxy training.
Dos Santos defeated Mexican fighter Cain Velasquez last November to take the heavyweight belt and successfully defended his status against Frank Mir at UFC 146 earlier this year.
His next opponent hasn't been announced as of yet, but there's no danger of the handsome Becks stepping in the octagon to mess up his comb-over!
