Meanwhile, Jason Roberts attempts to start up his rap career, Emmanuel Frimpong preaches his words of wisdom and Adam Le Fondre welcomes Reading new-boy Gareth McCleary

England manager Roy Hodgson ushered in a brave new era as he revealed his new-look squad to face Italy in Berne next Wednesday, which included several previously uncapped players.

Ryan Bertrand, Steven Caulker and Jake Livermore all received their first call-ups, while Tom Cleverley and Daniel Sturridge were also included after their penalty heartbreak for Team GB at this summer's Olympic Games.

The Manchester United midfielder has revealed his delight at getting a chance to pull on the Three Lions shirt, while Jermaine Jenas and Marvin Sordell also expressed their thoughts on the squad selection. WOTT investigates...

"Buzzing to be in the england squad!"

Tom Cleverley will realise every boy's dream when he pulls on the famous Three Lions for the country's match against Italy next week.

"Congrats to my boys @29_JL and @stevencaulker91 for your England ups very much deserved lads!"

Jermaine Jenas passes his congratulations to his Tottenham team-mates Jake Livermore and Steven Caulker following their call-ups, with the pair hoping that their international careers are slightly more successful than the 29-year-old's.

"Big congrats to my boys @stevencaulker91 and @ryanbertrand3 on getting into the england squad for the first time!!"

Marvin Sordell also tweeted his congratulations, despite missing out on a call-up of his own after representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games.

"Ok TArmy....back on line, and feeling fine...(that rhymed) first day out on the Green stuff this morning..after treatment...! #buzzing"

Reading striker Jason Roberts showcases his lyrical talent after completing treatment on the hamstring injury that kept him out last season.

"Beautiful day for training!!! Question is will @gmccleary12 take revenge on a certain some1?? #whodoneit"

Meanwhile at the Madejski Stadium, Adam Le Fondre attempts to spark the biggest mystery since the assasination of JFK as the Royals welcome former Nottingham Forest winger Gareth McCleary.

"Wake up everyday and be thankful of what you have and stop moaning about things you don't have... Your lucky to have the life you given"

Twitter favourite Emmanuel Frimpong shows us his more serious side to life, rather than tweeting 'dench' every moment of the day.

"EuroMillions tickets purchased! Just promised the woman a Mill if I win an vice versa! Wud be loose change if ya won £148 Milly #Daydreaming"

And finally, American defender Zak Whitbread hints that might have had to take a pay cut to join Championship favourites Leicester City as he tries his luck at the EuroMillions.
