Arsenal youngster Sanchez Watt learns from loan spells
Young Gunners striker enjoyed his time away from the north London club last season and feels he gained a lot, but is glad to be back and looking forward to proving his worth
Young Arsenal striker Sanchez Watt says his two loan spells away from the club last season have had a big affect on him, both as a player and a person.
The 21-year-old had loan spells at both Sheffield Wednesday and Crawley Town last season, and says he took a lot from his period away from the North London club.
Watt told Arsenal's official website: "Being away teaches you to be independent and not rely on the best facilities we have at London Colney.
"You have to be more of an individual to go out there and do your thing.
"The loan spells were good experiences but sometimes things happen and a lot changed. But I am always learning from other players in different environments and it was good."
But the striker admits he is glad to be back playing with the Gunners at that his plan this summer is to prove what he can do for the club.
Watt added: "This summer I just have to get out there and show people what I can do. I have been doing extra in training to try and get ready for the new season.
"It feels good to be playing the Arsenal way again. It's been nice to come back, get fit and see the other players again. I'm just going to try and do better than I already have done in pre-season."
