The newly appointed boss is adamant that the Croatia international will only be allowed to leave if chairman Daniel Levy is happy with the fee on offer, with three clubs interested
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has warned potential suitors that midfielder Luka Modric will only be allowed to leave White Hart Lane if the club's asking price is met.
The Croatia international has been linked with moves to a host of clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.
Modric's exit has long been expected ever since the 26-year-old first stated his desire to quit the club last summer. However, the newly appointed Spurs boss is adamant that a move will not be sanctioned unless chairman Daniel Levy is happy with the fee on offer.

He told the Daily Mirror: "There has been continuous interest from three different clubs. But it's important for Tottenham to hold onto their rights. His situation will continue as it is until the price is right.
"Luka is an intelligent person and understands the club has to defend his value their values, rights and interests.
"But the offer has not been met to what the chairman wants. If that is met there won't be any problems."
Tottenham have already been active in the transfer window this summer, adding Gylfi Sigurdsson and Ajax captain Jan Vertonghen to their ranks.
