Van der Vaart would fit in perfectly at Hamburg, says Fink

The Dutchman has been strongly linked with a return to the Bundesliga outfit but the German side's coach has revealed that affording his wages could be an issue
Hamburg coach Thorsten Fink has claimed that Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart would be a perfect fit for the German side. The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer and his former club have previously admitted their interest in re-signing him.
And Fink has revealed that the Bundesliga outfit would welcome the Dutchman back with open arms, but admits that money may be an issue.
"Rafael is a very good player, who would be interesting for us - if we had the money” Fink told Kicker.
“But it does not make sense to talk about players who we cannot afford.
"Van der Vaart would fit perfectly in our profile - being 29 years old and because of his playing style, too. Everybody would be happy, the coach, too."
Schalke are said to be ready to rival Hamburg for the former Real Madrid man but wages are reportedly the biggest stumbling block.
