Villas-Boas eyes Tottenham bid for Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho
The Portugal international won a treble under the new Spurs coach's management in 2011 and starred at Euro 2012 - and the Londoners could see him as a replacement for Luka Modric
Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Tottenham are interested in signing Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho.The 25-year-old, who worked under the new Spurs coach at Porto during their treble-winning 2010-11 season, impressed for Portugal during this summer's Euro 2012.
Villas-Boas has confirmed that his side are in discussions with several clubs over the sale of Luka Modric and admitted the Croatian could leave White Hart Lane for "the right price" this summer.
The Tottenham boss conceded that Moutinho was a target for his side but was adamant that the Porto midfielder was not his only target.

"Counting on players of this quality will always be interesting for us.
"It doesn't mean that it's the only target, but if something happened of course he's a player we look on with some interest."
