Skrtel: I have not been in talks with any club
The Liverpool defender has moved to dismiss claims he has been approached regarding a move away from Anfield, with Manchester City reportedly interested
Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel insists he has not been in contact with other clubs as speculation over his future at Anfield continues to grow.
The Slovakia international was linked with a switch to Premier League champions Manchester City earlier this month as boss Roberto Mancini reportedly looked to bolster his defensive options.
Rumours gathered that City were preparing to test the resolve of new Reds manager Brendan Rodgers with a £20 million bid for Skrtel.
However, the 27-year-old, who won the clubs's Player of the Year award last season, has dismissed suggestions that he has been the subject of approaches from other clubs and says he is happy to stay at Anfield.
"In the press there have been rumours about my future," Skrtel said on his personal website.

"I would like to say that so far I have not received any specific offers and I have not been in talks with any club.
"I'm looking forward to the new season very much and believe we will be well prepared for it and it will be better than the last one."
Skrtel joined Liverpool in January 2008 from Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg and has gone on to make 172 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals.
