Andre Villas-Boas dismisses Tottenham rumours as 'lies'
The former Porto boss, who was sacked by the Blues last season, has quashed recent reports that he has been contacted by Spurs over a role with the north London club
Former Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas has categorically denied that he held talks with Premier League side Tottenham over the vacant managerial position at White Hart Lane. The Portuguese has been out of a job since March after his sacking from the Blues, and with Spurs parting ways with Harry Redknapp earlier in June, reports suggested that chairman Daniel Levy had considered the 34-year-old to take over.
Nevertheless, Villas-Boas has dismissed any links with the club, telling Portuguese newspaper O Jogo that he has heard nothing from the Spurs hierarchy.

Despite winning the Portuguese Liga and Europa League with Porto in 2010-11, Villas-Boas endured a tough time in his first season in English football as Chelsea struggled for form in all competitions.
He was subsequently relieved of his duties in March amid reports of a player revolt following the Champions League defeat to Napoli, and his reputation was tarnished further when his replacement, Roberto Di Matteo, steered the club through the tie and on to glory in Munich.
Meanwhile, Tottenham, who finished the season in fourth but missed out on Europe's premier club competition due to Chelsea's victory, are rumoured to be courting David Moyes or Roberto Martinez for the role.
