Chelsea 2012-13 Premier League fixtures in full
Roberto Di Matteo's side face a trip to Wigan on the opening day of the new season as the Champions League winners bid to improve on last season's sixth-placed finish
Chelsea will kick off the 2012-13 Premier League campaign with a trip to Wigan on August 18 as Roberto Di Matteo embarks on his first full season at the helm. The Blues' triumph in the Champions League means they will participate in both the European Super Cup and Club World Cup. As a result, the fixtures against newly-promoted sides Reading on September 1 and Southampton on December 15 will be rearranged.
Other key dates to look out for is the trip to play London rivals Arsenal on September 29, before Chelsea meet Tottenham and Manchester United in successive weeks at the end of October. A clash with Sir Alex Ferguson's men at the start of May could end up being extremely significant.
