Early kick-offs in the Premier League and FA Cup made for a busy Saturday both on the pitch at Carrow Road and Wembley and on Twitter with players and fans responding to the results.

Liverpool ran out 2-1 winners against Everton much to the delight of the Red half of Merseyside and the despair of Sylvain Distin and Wayne Rooney.

Elsewhere, back in the league Manchester City thumped Norwich leaving their players in raptures, and those of Norwich, well, rather quiet.
