The Dutch playmaker has told the club that he wants to remain a Spurs player and has no intention of leaving, and denies there is any problem with Harry Redknapp
The Dutch international has been an integral part of the Spurs side so far this season, but his rumoured poor relationship with manager Harry Redknapp led to speculation about his future.
The likes of AC Milan, amongst others, have been heavily linked with making a bid for him in January, but the ex-Real Madrid playmaker has rubbished any transfer speculation.
He told The Sun: “Rumours come when you play well. I want to stay – everybody feels we’ve a great team.
“It is fun here, we have big players and Harry is doing an amazing job.”
Van der Vaart had reportedly fallen out with the former West Ham boss for taking him off in games.
He added: “You can have a little problem with the manager, you talk and it’s fine.”
