The match kicks off on Saturday at 15:00 and the Brazilian midfielder believes the Old Trafford crowd will give the Reds the confidence to perform against the newly promoted club

Manchester United midfielder Anderson believes the Premier League title-holders can maintain their unbeaten start to the season at home to Norwich City on Saturday.

The Reds have started their campaign in blistering fashion, and top the Premier League table unbeaten with a goal difference of +17.

However, last weekend they were held to a draw away to Stoke City and in their midweek Champions League game at Old Trafford were lucky to salvage a point against FC Basel.

The Brazilian midfielder has become an integral part of the United midfield this season and claimed that it is irrelevant who the opponents are, the level of performance must always be high.

“It doesn’t matter who you play in the league, you always have to play well,” Anderson told United Review.

“I haven’t seen much of Norwich, but I know they are a strong team who will come here and battle.

“Whenever you play at home you have to perform and we are always confident at Old Trafford in front of our fans.

“It’s important to be strong at home and our record has been amazing for a long time now.

“You feel more relaxed, more comfortable when you’re at home and you have that extra spring in your step. It’s important we show that on Saturday and keep our good run going.”
