Samir Nasri set to stay at Arsenal after talks with Manchester City collapse - report

French star included in team to face Liverpool in Premier League clash as reports emerge in his homeland that talks over a move to Roberto Mancini's side have broken down
Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri is set to stay at the Emirates Stadium for the remainder of his contract, according to a report emerging from France.

The Frenchman had been strongly linked with a £22 million move to Manchester City before the end of the summer transfer window, but French TV station Canal+ claims that talks have broken down and that Nasri will now see out the final year of his contract with Arsenal.

The midfielder was a surprise inclusion from the start of Saturday's Premier League encounter at home to Liverpool, with many expecting him to follow club captain Cesc Fabregas out of the Emirates.

However, Nasri may now stay in north London and see out the remainder of his deal meaning he could leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.
