thumbnail Hello,

Full debuts are handed to Emmanuel Frimpong and Carl Jenkinson whilst Dirk Kuyt is recalled to the starting line-up at the Emirates.

Arsenal starting XI: Szczesny; Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Jenkinson; Frimpong, Ramsey; Nasri, Arshavin, Walcott; Van Persie.

Liverpool starting XI: Reina; Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Enrique; Henderson, Lucas, Adam, Downing; Carroll, Kuyt.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has handed a start to midfielder Samir Nasri despite reports that he wants to leave the club whilst Kenny Dalglish has dropped last week’s goalscorer, Luis Suarez to the bench.

Nasri has featured very rarely this pre-season for Arsenal as it appears he will be on his way out of the club with Wenger suggesting his motives were financial, though with injuries to Wilshere and suspension to Song  the Frenchmen has been recalled to the starting line-up.

Wenger is without the Alexander Song and the injured Kieran Gibbs so has handed full debuts to Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Frimpong and summer signing Carl Jenkinson.

Liverpool have recalled Dirk Kuyt to the starting line-up replacing Luis Suarez upfront as Kenny Dalglish looks to rotate his impressive attacking options.

Andy Carroll will head the Liverpool attack as he looks to replicate the torment he gave the Arsenal defence last season whilst playing for Newcastle at the Emirates.

Carroll scored the winner with a towering header, giving Newcastle a surprise 1-0 win at the Emirates.
