Wales international to get his second start in a row as Gunners travel to FA Cup finalists, where the midfielder sustained horrific injury last season following Shawcross challenge
The Wales captain fired the Gunners to a 1-0 win over Manchester United last weekend and is now expected to be rewarded with only his third start of the season as Fabregas continues to struggle with a thigh injury.
A second start in successive games would allow the 20-year-old the opportunity to banish demons at the Britannia Stadium, where he sustained a horrific leg break during last year’s fixture between the two clubs.
On that occasion, Ramsey fell fowl of a challenge by Ryan Shawcross and admits that whilst he holds no grudge against the defender, he has not responded to the apologetic messages Shawcross left on his phone.
Ramsey, whose side have slipped out of title contention and will be looking for just their third win in 11 matches on Sunday, was sent out on loan to both Nottingham Forest and former club Cardiff City earlier this season in order to regain match fitness after his long spell on the sidelines.
