Arsene Wenger: Arsenal will continue to battle in 'completely open' Premier League race

Gunners boss believes that his side can still go all the way in the league, despite drawing their four of their last five games and seeing his players throw away lead at Tottenham
Arsene Wenger believes that Arsenal still have a chance of winning the Premier League despite dropping points to Tottenham.

The two sides met in the north London derby at White Hart Lane, and it was the Gunners who were leading 3-2 at the end of an eventful first half. But a penalty against the visitors during the second period saw Rafael van der Vaart equalise to steal a point for the hosts.

It was Arsenal's fourth draw in the their last five matches for the Gunners, but Wenger still maintained a positive outlook on the situation.

"[The title race] is completely open," Wenger told reporters. "We have to get ready for our next game and fight, as we do.

"This team has a remarkable attitude, they are remarkably consistent. It is open, it is down to us to keep battling."

The draw with Harry Redknapp's men coupled with Chelsea's victory over Birmingham City saw the Gunners slip to third place in the standings.

"It was a difficult game, with an average performance we would have not have gone away with a point," said Wenger. "

We are on a 16-game run unbeaten, but recently we didn't get enough points with too many draws. That is what we want to turn by the end of the season.

"Even though we were 3-1 up the game was not won, but it is not all negative because, after what happened to us on Sunday, to recover and come back with such a spirit I believe shows this team has an outstanding mentality."
